Isabella
The Mama, health specialist and yoga lover, queen of the house and of Marco's heart.

A free spirit; after following society’s rules and having worked in the City, Isabella ran off and travelled Asia for a while. Half Italian and half Austrian, she’s also a bit Danish, English, Asian and Australian. Isabella loves to meet people and for this reason, after the City she worked in the hospitality industry for many years.
Qualified Natural Hygiene consultant, Reiki healer and crystal therapist. Isabella is also a certified yoga teacher — Hatha, Vinyasa, Nidra, and pre & post-partum — and will help you reconnect with your body and maximise your wellbeing while at Baob House.
Marco
Our Captain and unstoppable fisherman, king of the grill and of Isabella's heart.

After years working backstage in high fashion, Marco traded the runway for the reef — swapping catwalks for currents, and city lights for sunsets on the water. Rock climber, tree climber, mushroom forager: if there’s an adventure to be had on land or sea, he’s already planned it.
He’s also the one looking after our vegetable garden and our animals — chickens, geese, rabbits, and our dogs — making sure the whole place runs the way it should. When he’s not out fishing, you’ll likely find him tending the grill, making sure everyone eats well.
Pendo
Pendo has been part of the Baob House family for the past year, taking care of the house with remarkable dedication and attention to detail. From keeping every room immaculate to helping with whatever the day requires, she is the kind of person who makes everything run without a sound. Her name means love in Swahili — and it shows in everything she does.
Sanita
Sannita grew up surrounded by food — the daughter of a chef who has spent years working alongside one of Italy's finest starred kitchens. Cooking is in her blood, and it shows. After years working as a personal chef in private homes, she brings to our table a natural instinct for flavour, a deep respect for good ingredients, and the kind of quiet confidence that only comes from a lifetime spent around great food. At Baob House, she will spoil you — beautifully.
Baraka
Baraka grew up alongside Marco and his sister, the son of the family's longtime house help. When his father passed away, Mario and Gloria welcomed him as one of their own. Years later, when Marco and Isabella returned to take over the house, Baraka came looking for work — and they taught him everything he knows. Today he's our resident fixer, the one who keeps Baob House standing and running: from the garden to the grounds, from small repairs to whatever the house needs to stay in shape.
Safari
Our butler, and the one who makes sure every detail is just right. Towering and striking, often mistaken for a Maasai, Safari actually comes from the Pokomo tribe. After years of experience as a houseboy, he has learned exactly what makes a stay feel effortless. He takes care of the rooms, the laundry, and impeccable service at the table — always one step ahead, always ready before you even ask. Nothing escapes his attention, and nothing is ever too much trouble.
